Janice K. (Davis) Goldsby, 72, beloved wife, sister, aunt and stepmother of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loved ones who are left to grieve her loss.
She was born Monday, March 28, 1949 to Carl and Mildred M. (Walden) Davis in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Jan grew up in Indianapolis but was always proud of her Kentucky roots and enjoyed visiting with her family in Tompkinsville.
Jan was married to the love of her life, John Goldsby for 48 years.
She loved to play cards but wasn’t the best player because she never folded. That’s how she lived her life, she never folded.
She was however the best housekeeper, best cook, best wife, best daughter, best step-mother, best sister, absolute best aunt and best friend anyone could hope for. She will always live on in our hearts. We are so thankful she was in our family.
She never had children of her own but had many happy years spending time with her step kids, JR, Dawn, and Joe. She always treated her nieces and nephews as her own children. She was always concerned about them, showered them with love and treated them to awesome trips they will never forget.
We love you, Jan!
She is preceded in death by her father, Carl Davis.
Jan is survived by her husband, John Goldsby; mother, Mildred Davis; sisters, Brenda Johnson and her husband Mike and Debra Montfort; brother, Jeffrey Davis and his wife Penny; stepchildren, John Goldsby, Joseph Goldsby, Dawn Passafiume; and many nieces and nephews
Visitation is Friday, December 3, 2021 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.
