Janet Jarvis Seward, 88, of Indianapolis IN, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024. She was born December 10, 1935 in Washington D.C. to Everett A. and Ethel J. Jarvis.
She graduated from Washington - Lee High School (Arlington, VA) and the Richmond Professional Institute of the College of William and Mary. She had a successful career as an Occupational Therapist within the Indianapolis area (Marion County Home and St. Vincent New Hope).
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Dixon Seward. She is survived by sons, Craig (Laura) Seward and David (Diane) Seward; and grandchildren, Jackson, Nolan, Emma, and Ian.
She had a deep love for family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, weekend getaways, and corresponding with friends and family by letter. She dedicated her time to various organizations including Soroptimist International. She was an active member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, supporting the Prayer Shawl Ministry, Sowers, and the annual Holiday Bazaar.
A private Celebration of Life gathering will be held for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana in Janet's name.
