Janet Therese Nagle

Janet Therese Nagle 90, of Indianapolis, passed away, May 18^th, 2023.  She was born October 6, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Lillian Elizabeth Healy Bordenkecher and Carl Andrew Bordenkecher.  She attended St. Philip Neri School, and St. Agnes High School.  Janet worked for the Renal Network for 28 years and retired at the age of 81.  

Janet and Bill had 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren.  They were members of St. Pius X Catholic Church. 

Janet is survived by her children, Joni Nagle(Mario), Angie Sams(Hubert), Christy Brown(Curtis), grandchildren, Lilly E. Harper and Carly M, Tess E,  Loren R. Sams, along with nieces and nephews, Lisa E. Bayne, Robert R., David A(Sue), Janet C. Valasek, Mary Jo Rothenbush, Laurie Glass (Terry), great-nieces and nephews, Kate N and Beth A Bordenkecher, Nicolas R. Rothenbush, and Ryan M. Jeter.   

Janet is preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, William Edward Nagle who passed away December 15, 1987.  She is also preceded in death by her brothers Carl F. and Robert J. Bordenkecher and niece Lynn A. (Bordenkecher) Jeter.  

Janet and Bill enjoyed spending summers in Saugatuck, Michigan, where they spent hours at Oval Beach, watching sunsets and taking walks along the beach.  They passed this love onto their children and grandchildren.  Janet was most proud of her family; family gatherings were her favorite.  Janet loved attending sporting events for her daughters and granddaughters.   

Janet’s dedication for her family was shown through love, support, faith, and prayer.  Janet had a knack for making all feel welcomed and loved in her home.  Janet loved her little dog Lennie; he will certainly miss her presence.  

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at St. Pius X Catholic Church (7200 Sarto Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240) from 10:30 am –12 pm with Mass immediately following at 12:00 pm. The burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
