Jami Sue Davis (Crawford) of Beech Grove, IN died unexpectedly on March 5, 2022, at the age of 56. She was born in Indianapolis on May 10, 1965, to David and Theresa Thompson.
Jami is survived by her parents; her husband, Jim “Rooster” Davis; her only son and daughter in-law, David and Morgan Adams; her dachshund “fur babies”, Peanut and Baby Girl, her stepson Kevin (Samantha) Davis; grandchildren Austin and Logan Davis; her sisters Eleica (Carl) Drake and Theresa (Scott) Carnagua, and brother Isaac (Chrissy) Crawford; nephews and nieces, Nathaniel (Emily) Dobbs, Carl (Ashley) Drake Jr, Casey (Austin) Fisher, Olivia Carnagua, and Griffin Carnagua; and many great nieces and nephews, large extended family, and several great friends. She is predeceased by her sister and brother in-law Feleica Mae and Jim Dobbs, her niece Danielle Dobbs, grandmothers Mildred Ferrell, Ester Crawford, and Frieda Thompson, and her Aunt Faye Martin.
She was a graduate from Beech Grove High School in 1984. She worked at SMC Corporation of America and was actively involved in the Beech Grove Eagles. Jami was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and aunt. Her greatest passion was crafting and a lover of dogs. She loved making homemade cards, but she especially loved giving cards to anyone she could. If she, had it, her way she would paint the world purple. She always wore her heart on her sleeve and would do anything for anyone.
A viewing will be held at Indiana Funeral Care 2433 E Main St, Greenwood, IN, 46143 on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022, from 5pm-8pm. On Wednesday, March 16th, 2022, there will be a viewing from 10am-11am, with the funeral service starting at 11am. Pastor Richard Jones will officiate. Following the service there will be a funeral procession to Washington Park East Cemetery where Jami will be laid to rest. The family has requested that any memorial donations in Jami’s name go to Emmaus Lutheran Church and School or any non-kill animal shelter.
