James William Sauder

James "Jim" Sauder passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at his home in Indianapolis, IN.

Jim was the youngest child born to Floyd & Huldah Sauder on May 10, 1945 in Wauseon, OH. Jim graduated from Pettisville High School in 1963.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 53 years. They were married on July 30, 1966 in Archbold, OH.

Jim is predeceased by his sister Marie "Tootie", brother Charles "Chuck", mother Huldah, father Floyd, and brother David "Dave".

Jim enjoyed music, especially singing bass with Circle City Sound and multiple barbershop quartets. He was awarded Barbershopper of the Year in 1997 and also received his 50 year membership pin in Salt Lake City in 2019. Jim also enjoyed driving school buses for Cathedral High School for 28 years.

Jim is lovingly remembered by his wife, Judy of Indianapolis; son, Mark of Indianapolis; daughter, Christen (Jason) Trissel of Wakonda, SD; granddaughter, Meghan Sauder of Muncie, IN; granddaughter, Illeana Trissel; grandson, Clayton Trissel of Wakonda, SD; Shyanne Murphy of Wakonda, SD; as well as multiple nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

The viewing will be held at First Mennonite Church at 4601 Knollton Rd Indianapolis, IN 46228 on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 4:30 to 8:00 pm.

The Celebration of Life service will also be held at First Mennonite Church on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 4:00 pm with a meal to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jim's name to the Barbershop Harmony Foundation at harmonyfoundation.org/donate or to First Mennonite Church
