James K Blankenship, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, drew his last breath here on earth on Thursday May 27, 2021, in his home he shared with his loving wife .
James was born August 17,1963 in Fall River, Massachusetts to Jessie James Blankenship Jr and Ruby Faye (Taylor) Blankenship. His family later moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where he grew up as a child. Enjoying many family weekend camping trips and trips to Kings Island.
He later met Tonda, the mother of his 6 children. After many life challenges and years later he ended up meeting the love of his life Doris as she poked him on Facebook and he poked her back. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and could build anything with his crafty woodworking skills. James had a way of bringing laughter wherever he went. He also enjoyed showing his money off, that somehow gave him a tickle, that he had been saving to take his wife on a special vacation. James also was a proud member of Speedway General Baptist Church were he gave his life to God.
James was welcomed into Heaven by his Father (Jessie), Mother (Ruby) and his Grandmother (Edith) that he held close to his heart.
James will be missed by many including his wife Doris Blankenship, his {children} Jeremy, James (Sara), Joshua (Chelsea), Jonathan, Jessie & April. James also had bonus children he gained though the love of his life, Jimmy (Angela), Misty (Edward). James was a loving Grandpa of Julia, Hayley, Cassidy, Savanna, Joshua Jr, Allision & Eretria Skyee with bonus grandchildren Jamie, Amanda, Abbi, Noah & Angel. Siblings are Louwanna Jackson (Steven) Teresa Blankenship and Kelly Townsend (John). James was extremely close to his nephews Richard Fugate (Cassey) and Virgil Fugate (Linda). Also leaving behind many Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, Aunts and Uncles that he loved dearly. James will be Greatly Missed and Loved by Many Family and Friends.
