James was known as Jim or Tank by friends & family. He enjoyed playing softball, speed skating, dancing, NASCAR races, WWE wrestling, camping & fishing.
He was in Army Reserves then enlisted in the Army. He earned an Honorable Discharge from the Army. He worked at Kokomo Spring for several years. He then worked for Chrysler and retired after 25 years.
He is survived by his children Catina McCord (Michael) & Jay Thomas with their mother Denise Sims. Penny Thomas (Vic) and her mother Ruth Wright. Darrel Thomas and his mother Elaine Hight.
He is survived by grandchildren: Braxton, Calee, Clayton, Andrew, Jordan, Macy, Jazmine, Mychael, Michael & Dallas. Also survived by great grandchildren: Jacksyn, Harleigh, Iris, Charlie, August, Liam & Landon.
He was preceded in death by his parents James Thomas Sr & Thelma Thomas, sister Jamie Fleenor and grandson Dalton McCord.
There will be no services per his request. Family will have a memorial at a later date.
