James Darren Stevens, 50, a Greenwood resident for the last 19 years, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 4, 2022 surrounded by his wife and children.
James was born May 3, 1971 to Roy Eugene and Margo Irene Stevens (Lucas). James attended Southport High School then later went on to complete schooling for his Class A CDL. He drove for Storage on Site in Indianapolis and loved his job.
James was a man dedicated to his family. His love for his wife was immeasurable. The love he showed for his children and grandchildren was unconditional. If a friend needed help with something, he never hesitated.
James had a hot rod heart. His passion was cars. He could diagnose something and then offer the help to fix it. He was a Colts Fan and had a love for hunting, in which he never missed a season. He has enjoyed passing that love for hunting on to his eldest grandson for the last 2 years. He loved to travel with his Wife to Gulf Shores and Dale Hollow Lake to get in a little sun, water, shopping and fishing.
James is survived by his Wife, Mother, Son, 2 Daughters, 2 Son-in-laws, 5 Grandchildren, 2 Brothers and his Sister. He is preceded in death by his Father, Son and 2 Brothers.
Visitation is Wednesday, January 12, 2022 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.
