Jacob Clarke Funk, 24, of Carmel, Indiana, passed away on April 2, 2024. He was born on February 16, 2000, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Jacob was a caring and hardworking individual who was known for his sweet and kind nature. He pursued his passion for mechanics and spent the last several years working at Indy Wholesale Direct as lead mechanic. His dream job was to work for Rahal Racing, showcasing his love for fast cars and the thrill of being a mechanic and traveling the US.
In his free time, Jacob enjoyed camping, boating, and fishing, as well as indulging in his love for fast cars. He cherished the outdoors, and the adventures life would take him. Jacob loved the annual family lake vacations to different states growing up. He always caught the biggest fish!
Jacob will be deeply missed by his parents Terry and Mary Funk, big sister Emily Funk, nephew Ollie, Nana Di, his dog Shorty, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his childhood best friend, Tyler Bell. He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Beryl Burkhard, Larry Funk, and
Uncle John David Burkhard. He will be missed by friends and colleagues.
Jacob's warm personality and dedication to his passions have left a lasting impact on all who knew him. May Jacob's beautiful spirit live on through memories of everyone who knew him!
