Jackie Stinnett

Jackie "Jack" Stinnett, 76, of Clayton, passed away peacefully at home on February 5th, 2025. Jack was born in Garrard County, Kentucky, on October 4th, 1948, to the late John and Pearl Mae (Burgess) Stinnett. He was a well-loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, great-uncle, great-great-uncle, brother, and brother-in-law.

As a Vietnam-era veteran, Jack served as a Private in the United States Army. After his service in the United States Army, he worked many years as a nurseryman for Hobbs and Brehob nurseries, eventually retiring from IUPUI.

Jack enjoyed bowling at the Plainfield Bowl, playing cards, riding his motorcycle, hunting, playing his guitar, working outdoors, caring for his farm animals, vacationing with family and friends, and being a Band "Dad" for the Plainfield Red Pride Marching Band.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pearl Stinnett; brothers, Sam and Charles Stinnett; sisters, Jeanette Burkett, Greta Davis, and Barbara Williams.

Jack is survived by his wife, Judy (LaRoche) Stinnett; son, Anthony Stinnett; daughters, Autumn Stinnett, Wendy Byrd, and Amber (Bobby) Clark; grandchildren, Jacob Farr, Jon Farr, Steven Stinnett, Diana Evans, and Lirah (Andrew) Harmon; great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald and Gary Stinnett; and several nieces and nephews, including great and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Jack's wishes, no formal services will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jack's name to the Alzheimer's Association
