J. Thomas (Tom) Trussa

Tom was a truly loving, honest, and ethical man. He passed away at home on November 5, 2022, from complication of a 2019 major Stroke.

Tom was born in Gary, Indiana on November 9, 1940, to Andy Trussa Jr. and Irene Polomchak Trussa. He was reared and educated at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Grade School in Merrillville and St. Mary’s Catholic School in Crown Point, Indiana. He graduated from Merrillville High School, class of 1959. He was employed at Gary’s First Federal Savings and Loan. Then he served in the US Army for four years, one year in South Korea.

Tom moved to Van Nuys, California where he worked in Banking, Universal Studios and at home repair services.

Tom leaves to cherish his memory his sisters: June Trussa Deeter of Indianapolis, IN, and Mary Lou “Marty” Hoyle of Noblesville, IN, niece: Elyse (Myron) Cromer, great nephew: Levi J. Cromer, and nephew: Dave Russell.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 12:00 PM, St. Luke Catholic Church, 7575 E Holliday Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46260. Mass will be at 1:00 PM, Officiated by Msgr. Joseph Schaedel. Interment is private.
