Iva "Jane" Nelson

Iva "Jane" (Baugh) Nelson, of McCordsville, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024. She was born in Kentucky on January 1, 1947 to Gaines and Nelwanda Baugh. Jane married Daniel Nelson on April 3, 1970. 

She worked for Zales as a jewelry sales associate for over 25 years before retiring. She was an avid Christian who loved everyone she met. In her free time, she enjoyed completing puzzles, hosting garage sales, Elvis Presley, and penny slots. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. 

Jane is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Nelson; children, GeaNell (Scott) Newport, Daniel Nelson, William (Ashlea) Nelson, and Michelle Bell; grandchildren, Nathan Newport, Zachary (Jennifer) Newport, Taylor (John) Huff, Jay (Brandon) Turner, Will Nelson, Ava Nelson, and Ciara Anderson; great grandchildren, Zander Newport, Bretton Newport, Jameson Wann, Connor Newport, Dalton Newport, Sawyer Huff, and Hallie Turner; brother, William Baugh; and special friend, Carolyn Zentz. 

She was preceded in death by her parents. 

Services in will be held at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46250 on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the service time.
