Irene P. Brim

IRENE NEWSOME POWELL BRIM was born on December 25, 1925 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Martha and Worth Newsome.

Irene was a successful Entrepreneur with her Restaurant "Irene's". Irene retired from Chase Bank after several years of service.

Irene Brim was married to her late Husband David P. Brim for over 58 years. Irene was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and a loving sister, loving aunt, and a great friend!

Irene enjoyed an awesome life which includes loving her family and everyone to the fullest. Irene loved cooking, gardening, music, shopping, traveling, Red Hat Society and just generally having a good time with a everlasting infectious laugh.

Irene Newsome Powell Brim departed this life on Wednesday January 11, 2023 at the age of 97 years.

Preceded in death by her Son Bobby Powell Sr.; Husband David Brim Jr. and twenty four (24) Sisters and Brothers.

Irene leaves to cherish her memory her Daughter, Evelyn Vaughn; grandchildren; James K. Vaughn (Heidi), Stacey Powell Clarksville, TN, Bobby Powell Jr., and David Powell; great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and so many friends.
