Howard Denton Hail, age 85, of Willow Branch IN, passed away Thursday, February 11th, 2020 at his residence. He fought a long battle with a little-known progressive disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, (see PSP.org for more information). He was born on April 11th, 1935 in Somerset, KY as the son of Bennie E. and Mary O. (Farmer) Hail. He graduated from Pulaski County High School in Somerset, KY. Howard married Linda L. Hail on August 3rd, 1982 in the United Methodist Church in Willow Branch, IN.
Before retirement, he was an automobile frame and bodywork mechanic for United Body Shop and Triangle Body Shop for numerous years.
Howard is survived by his wife, Linda (Birk, Cartwright) Hail; sons, Cameron and Melissa Hail, Steve and Karyn Featherston, Michael Cartwright, Bruce and Lisa Hail, Jeff Hail, and Mark Hail; Daughters, Angie (Cartwright, Long) McTarsney and Mandy Atkinson, Lisa (Hail) and Jimmy Flowers and Pam (Hail) and Brad Ping; brother, Marvin and Linda Hail; sisters, Kathleen (Hail) Edwards, and Marsha (Hail, Thomas) and Ed Little. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Benny Edwin Hail & Mary Olive (Farmer) Hail, sisters, Verna Hail, Aletha Miller, Jessie Jacobs, Lucille Burdine, and Billie Jean Hooker; brother, Edwin Hail.
