Homer Reese Brewington, 95, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away on January 18, 2024. He was born in Gallatin, Tennessee on April 24, 1928, to the late Monte Carson and Dovie (Baskerville) Brewington.
Homer grew up in Tennessee on his family farm and enjoyed fishing and hunting as a young boy. In the 1940’s, Homer moved to Indiana in search of prosperity. He married his wife, Charlene, on September 23, 1950, and they were married for 70 years until her passing. Homer worked as a forklift driver for Bridgestone Tire Company for 40 years until his retirement in 1992. He had a passion for home gardening and loved growing and giving tomatoes. Homer and his wife Charlene, worshiped the Lord and were members of Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Homer is survived by his three loving daughters, Jeannette (Allen) Woster, Annette Brewington, and Diane Brewington; one granddaughter, Heather (Tom) Guthrie and two great grandchildren; Brooke Bolander and Bradley Bolander; one sister-in-law, Martha Miller.
He is preceded in death by his wife Charlene Brewington and his 3 siblings.
Funeral services are being held at Indiana Funeral Care-Harry W. Moore Chaple, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 9:00am with a funeral service beginning at 10:00am. A burial will follow at Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
