Harold Lee Willhite, 81, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away January 14, 2025.
He was born August 30, 1943, to the late Ervin V. and Viola F. (Triplett) Willhite in Alton, Illinois. Harold moved with his family to Elsberry, MO when he was young and also to St. Louis, MO before moving to Indianapolis, IN in 1952. He was a 1961 graduate of Carmel High School. Harold attended and graduated with an associate’s degree from Central Business College. Harold worked as an Accountant after graduating college. He then joined the U.S. Air Force and enjoyed a few years in the military before being medially discharged after a serious car accident. Harold worked at PM Group for several years before buying the company in 1989. He loved owning his own business and doing accounting and business consulting for many doctors, dentists, as well as other clients. Harold retired in 2010 and enjoyed dabbling in the stock market and watching NASCAR races.
Harold is survived by his daughters, Julie (Randy) Sanders, Tammie (Mike) Vanderipe; brother, Bob Willhite; grandchildren, Levi (Luna) Sanders, Evan Sanders, Colby Sanders, Josh Vanderipe and niece, Sandy (Bruce) McCarson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Viola Willhite and sister-in-law, Emma Willhite.
His daughters relish the time spent with him when they were young, as he was the fun dad who would go roller skating (they would giggle when he fell), swimming (watching him get into cold water was a riot!), Putt-Putt, and many other fun things (and dad jokes!) when they were growing up.
While the family will not have a public memorial service, donations can be made to the VA or CICOA (Central Indiana Council On Aging) who have been immensely helpful during his later years and is a great resource for all seniors.
You many donate online at https://cicoa.org/support/donate-now/ or by mail to CICOA 8440 Woodfield Crossing Blvd., Suite 175, Indianapolis, IN 46240
