Harold Hans Jensen

Harold Hans Jensen, 86, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024, at Compassus Hospice in Indianapolis, IN.  Harold was born on May 15, 1937, to Peter Jensen and Jessin (Hansen) Jensen in Daler, Denmark. After completing his education, he was enlisted in the Denmark Armed Forces for two years.  When he was 20, he emigrated to Canada.  He met and married his wife, Kathleen (Harris) Jensen on January 11, 1969, and together they spent 55 years by each other’s side raising their family and watching their children grow.  When he was 40, Harold and his family moved to Florida.  Later Harold and Kathleen moved to Indiana to be closer to their grandchildren.  

Harold worked for much of his early life in a variety of jobs working on farms and doing mechanical work.   In Canada he owned and operated Jensen’s Trailers Ltd., with his brother Knud (“Ken”). In Florida, he owned and operated Viking Coachworks, Inc. with his long-time business partner Tom Johnson, a company that originally built custom convertibles, and later transitioned to building custom limousines.   Along with his work, Harold enjoyed spending time with his family, puttering around the house figuring out how to improve things, Bocce, and cheering on the Florida State Seminoles.

Harold is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Harris) Jensen; daughter Wendy (Kenneth) Brewer; son Eric (Angie) Jensen; grandchildren Emily and Matthew Brewer; and sister Sonja Damm.   He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Jessin Jensen and by his five older brothers, Laurids, Arno, Karl, Peter, and Knud.
