Harold Lee Dix, 93 of Indianapolis, IN passed away on June 11, 2024.
He was born in Indianapolis on Aug. 29, 1930, to Mary Susan (Shockency) Dix and Howard Edward Dix.
Harold served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, as a cook. He worked at Shapiro’s Deli when he was young, and later had his own restaurants, including Huddleston's and Country Village.
Harold also taught Ballroom Dancing at Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Indianapolis and belonged to Continental Dance Club.
He continued working part-time in his later years at H & R Block and for Boar's Head. He also took accordion lessons.
He was a member of the Speedway VFW and the Speedway Moose Lodge where he had many friends.
Harold is survived by his daughters, Rosalie Behning (Bob) and Susan (Terry), 6 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Wayne Vaughn, and his brothers, David Thomas Dix, and Clarence Albert Dix.
Graveside service was held on July 1, 2024, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Brownsburg, Indiana.
