Grace Helen Sanders was born to George and Eva Sanders on April 15, 1935 in South Carolina. She met Henry White on April 15, 1950 and on October 12, 1952 they were married. They spent 45 wonderful years together.
Grace was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in or around 1955. She also served as a regular pioneer for several years. She made it a point to study the Bible with all seven of her children and grandchildren.
In her later years of life, Grace was still very much a part of her congregation as she was still giving talks on the Our Christian Life and Ministry school. She also seized every opportunity to take advantage of the Circuit Overseers’ visit by making sure she auxiliary pioneered that month (she was very persistent!)
Her sister, Bonnie James Davis had this to say about Grace: “My sister was a wonderful, strong woman. If she wanted to do something, she just went ahead and did it. For example, when she wanted to become a Nurse, she took her time and got it done.” Bonnie went on to say how Grace would encourage her spiritually whenever they spoke on the phone. She said “Grace was a sincere Jehovah’s Witness. She was the real deal!”
Grace is survived by her six Children, Henry White, Jr, (Geraldine White, spouse); Linda Lane (Oscar Lane, spouse); Derrick White, Debora Sims (James Sims, spouse); Sandra White and Joyce Deer.
Grace is survived by her eight Grandchildren, Tameka Yolonda Fowler (Von Fowler, spouse); Angela Danielle Jones, Delilah Lorraine Jones-Capeles, Krystle Joy Jones, Darrell Kenneth Jones, Jr., Angelica Badillo (Richard Badillo, spouse); Kayla Deer and Derrick Love-White.
Grace is also survived by her nine Great-Grandchildren, Shaun Fowler, Saniyah Fowler, Xaviah Holliday, Raul Capeles, Jr., Alex Badillo, Leana Anell Capeles, Destiny Badillo, Leeanell Jones and Jamiah Jones.
Grace has only one surviving sister, Bonnie James Davis and her nine children and a host of other relatives and friends.
Our mother will be truly missed until she is awakened back to life in the new system she eagerly awaited for during her lifetime.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 5th at 3pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses 4405 N Walnut Muncie IN 47303.
