Glenna F. Yehnert, 89, was called home to her Savior on November 5, 2020. She was preceded in death earlier this year by her husband, Virgil E. Yehnert. She is survived by 4 children: Carl Yehnert (Pittsburgh, PA), Carol Cornelius (Greenwood, IN), Cindy Droge (Surry, VA) and Curt Yehnert (Heather) (Salem, OR), and by 14 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Glenna graduated from Kent State University (Ohio) in 1966 with a B. S. in Elementary Education and earned a Masters of Divinity Degree from Grace Theological Seminary (Indiana) in 1987. Glenna was a public school teacher in Akron, Ohio for 14 years, and served with her husband for Baptist Mid-Missions, first as short-term missionaries in Fortaleza, Brazil for two years, and then in a ministry support role at Good News Baptist Church in Katy, Texas for 24 years. Glenna was a very devoted and loving mother to her children and demonstrated a sweet and tender disposition throughout her life. Virgil and Glenna were married for 69 years and were characterized by a deep and abiding love for each other. Their ministry and life experiences were shared implicitly. Virgil and Glenna were lifelong learners and read prodigiously in addition to their teaching and ministry activities. They read through the Bible together at least 43 times. They were loving and devoted parents and had great influence everywhere they served.
