Georgia Green

Georgia Pearl Green (90), born on May 23 1933 in Lafayette, Tennessee, passed away on May 6 2024 in New Palestine,  Indiana surrounded by her family.  She was a cherished granny, daughter, mother, sister, and friend.  She was the beloved daughter of Lola Estelle Green and Harold Bailey Green.  She was married 54 years to Charles Green on July 8, 1950.

Georgia's life was defined by her unwavering faith and her deep love for her family.  Her passion for thrifting was well known among those who knew her best.  She had an eye for finding hidden treasures and took great joy in sharing them with others.  She was just a natural giver with a heart of gold.

Georgia worked endless hours as a housekeeper and retired from Western Electric.  She loved her Chihuahua Princess. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.  Survived by her daughter, Judy Scott (Bobby); six granddaughters; five grandsons; seventeen great grandchildren; and soon to be great great grandchild. Georgia is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Green; two sons, Chuck and Mark Green; and companion, Albert.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with funeral service beginning at 4:00 PM. Georgia will be laid to rest in Lafayette, TN, on Friday, May 10th at 2:00 PM (Central Time) at Haysville Cemetery.
