Thomas (Tom) George Test, passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 77 in Avon, Indiana. He was born October 3, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Tom was a beloved member of the community, known for his talent as a local theater actor. He discovered his love for acting in high school, and in the 70s did some voice work on a local Christian puppet show called Time for Timothy. He was also a wonderful pianist as well as an organist, and loved playing ragtime music.
He was preceded in death by his dear, sweet husband, Michael J. Griffith, his nephew William (Andy) Wall, his sister Mary Wall, and his parents Lora and George Test. Tom is survived by his niece Lora (and Russell) Rector of Crossville, TN and an honorary niece, Michelle McGuire of Indianapolis.
Tom was a graduate of Northwest High School, Class of '66, then studied at Indiana Central College. He was a Legal Secretary at various law offices, including Ice Miller LLP, Locke Reynolds Boyd & Weisell, and he retired in 2014 from Krieg DeVault.
Tom was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, although hadn't been able to attend for quite some time due to health issues.
Arrangements are entrusted to Indiana Funeral Care.
His niece is arranging a ceremony to honor Tom's life that will take place on what would have been his and Mike's anniversary, May 30th, 2024, in Sparta, Tennessee, where his ashes will be spread with his husband's near his sister's grave.
In lieu of donations, Tom's request is to "Be nice to a stranger today and adopt a shelter pet if able."
