George Raymond Humphrey, 75, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 8 after a short illness.
George was born on March 11, 1945. He graduated from Emmerich Manual High School and served in the Indiana National Guard. He worked as a welder/machinist for Christie Machine Works for several years before starting his own business, Humphrey's Welding. In retirement he continued to work for Young and Sons.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of 52 years; daughter, Jody (Waterman); five grandchildren, and one great grandchild; one sister and five brothers; cousins, nieces and nephews.
He loved fishing, sporting dogs, and the outdoors. He was active in the Seventh-Day Adventist church for over 45 years. His generous heart and friendly personality brought him many life-long friends.
