Gary Lee Weaver was born April 24, 1948, in Fulton, NY, and died October 3, 2024, at Indianapolis V.A. Hospital. Gary was forever grateful for the care and treatment he received from the caring staff with eight additional years of life.
Gary was highly thought as a person by those who knew him. He loved his family, life and enjoyed a good party and new adventures.
He graduated from Alfred in 1967 and went to work at Carrier Air Conditioning for nearly forty years; this was interrupted by the draft and he served a tour in South Vietnam. He returned to Carrier and completed his engineering degree at Syracuse University in 1982 on a part-time basis.
Gary deeply loved his family, wife, Brenda (Morrell); daughter, Kimberely (David) Gorton, Oswego; grandsons, Hunter (Taylor), California; grandson, Tanner Gorton, Hannibal; and great-granddaughter, Brielle Gorton, Fulton.
Gary is also survived by siblings, Roxanne Hollenbeck, Connie (Gary)Standard, William (Rose Ann) White, Barbara (Joe) Marotta, all from Fulton, and Brenda Semeraro, Washington.
Gary was presided by his adoptive parents, Calvin and Edna Weaver; brother, John Weaver; as well as his birth mother, Gloria White; and siblings, Elaine Crouch and Gerald Crouch.
At Gary’s request there will be no services and he will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Any donations can be made to the Shriners Children, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or to your local animal shelters.
