Gary Finecy II, 53, passed away on Saturday, November 18th. He was born on November 1st, 1970, to Gary Finecy I and Phyllis Finecy (Dorsett). He was a 1988 graduate from Arlington HS and served in the Navy reserve from '89-'92. He worked at Hindel Bowl as a mechanic from 2011 until his death.
Bowling was a big part of Gary's life. Beginning in YABA at the age of 10 and continuing until a work accident damaged his hand a few years ago. He began his mechanical career working at Northeastwood Bowl back in the early '90s and worked there until they closed. Moving onto small engine repair as well and continuing to help repair mowers was one of his passions.
For anyone that knew Gary, knows how much he loved his family. He was a HUGE smart aleck and would go out of his way to annoy you, but he always did it out of love. He would give you the shirt off his back and do everything in his power to help when he could. He will be greatly missed by all those who love him.
He is preceded in death by his father Gary, his two sisters, Vivian (Jon) Barnitz and Stacie Finecy and nephew Kyle Strubel.
He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Finecy, wife Jennifer Finecy, sons Eric Finecy, Daniel Finecy and Michael Stevens, daughters Allison (George) Burns and Kynzee Finecy, sister Liz (Greg) Strubel, grandson Phoenix Stevens, nieces Erin (Daniel) Warman and Brianna Finecy, 4 great nephews and 2 great nieces.
God Our Refuge and Strength
God our refuge and strength, close at hand in our distress.
Meet us in our sorrow and lift our eyes to the peace and light of your constant care.
Help us so to hear your word of grace that our fear will be dispelled by your love, our loneliness eased by your presence and our hope renewed by your promises in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen
