Gary Bane

Gary Bane, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at his home peacefully.

Gary retired from Koorsen Fire in 2013 after 30 years of service.

Gary is one or four brothers and grew up on the west coast. He spent his mid- twenties traveling with the guys and playing hockey before settling down and starting a family in Indianapolis. He frequently went on tropical vacations, most often visiting Key West with several friends. Gary loved spending time on the golf course and played softball for several years at Charney Park. He was able to fix any and everything, no job was too big for him to tackle.

The funeral service will be held at Indiana Funeral Care on 8151 Allisonville Rd 46250. There will be visitation from Noon to 2pm, followed by the service.

Gary was born on September 6, 1953. Son of Jack & Nell Bane.

He married Rita K Madison August 29, 1981.

Survivors include his children Kyle Bane of Indianapolis, Brent (Chelsea) Bane of Chicago, and Bob (Christa) Bane of Fortville; grandchildren, Jackson Bane, Navy Rae Bane, Sutton Love Bane, Ellie Bane, and Ronan Bane; and brother-in-law Bob (Patricia) Madison of Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his wife just 8 weeks prior; he just couldn’t wait any longer to see his beloved Rita again; may they enjoy each other’s presence forever more.
