Frederick Michael Hoggard

On August 12, 2024 Frederick (Rick) Michael Hoggard was called for his place in Heaven. He was born January 3, 1957 to Margaret Ann Hoggard. He is survived by his mother Margaret Ann, sister Rose Ball (Bill) and brother Randy Hoggard (Cathy) to include 5 nieces and nephews. He was the father to all girls: Shannell Ewing (Ron), Megan Close, Nicole Prater, Kelsey Corbett (Jeff), Kara Majors, and Samantha Hoggard. He was “Pops” to 12 grandchildren and 1 great grand daughter. He was cared for by his very good friend Nancy Black who was by his side through his illness.

Rick spent his early childhood in Elwood, Indiana and the rest of his school years in Noblesville, Indiana. Rick was proud of his service in the United States Air Force (Security Forces). He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and camping. He was a free spirit that enjoyed nature and what God provided. You could call him a jack of all trades. He had a passion for carpentry and working with his hands. He could make almost anything with what he had around him. He made a doll house out of pieces of wood he had. Even made a play house in the backyard of his home for his girls. He would make dream catchers with arrowheads and other items he would find. He enjoyed creating what he called “dot” drawings of faces.

Although he has left this earth. We are calm in knowing he has left an impression on so many. We will miss you.
