Foster "Bud" Raymond Yencer

November 11, 1938 — May 23, 2021

Foster “Bud” Raymond Yencer, Jr. was called to our Lord on May 23, 2021 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Bud was born on November 11, 1938 in Richmond, Indiana to the late Foster Raymond Yencer, Sr. and Kathryn Sommers Yencer. He graduated from Richmond High School in 1957 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University.
Bud grew up with siblings Jaqueline Yencer Trotter (2015), Kerry Yencer, Chuck Yencer, Thomas Yencer and Gladys “Gay” Yencer (1950).
Bud is lovingly remembered by his children Traci (Carl) Willis, Mandy (Scott) Graber and Chad (Jennifer) Yencer and grandchildren Alexandra, Quinlan, Henry, Hadley and Jagger as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bud loved planes, trains and automobiles. He piloted his own plane for many years and attended air shows across the Midwest. Bud loved to work on and make plans for his toy train collection. Retirement led to several years of fulfilling his dream to have his collection operational in his home. Being a resident of Indianapolis fueled his love of Indy Car racing and many years of listening to and attending the Greatest Spectacle in Racing as a family.
Bud will be remembered for his quick wit and easy laugh. He loved his family and it can be witnessed in the strong bond his children have with each other. Bud was loved by many and never knew a stranger. He will be dearly missed by all.
A private memorial service will be planned for later this year.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be made to Central Indiana Land Trust.
