Fannie Lee (Abell) McSpadden, 69, of Mooresville, Indiana passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born on Tuesday, November 7, 1950 to the late John Sebastian and Agnes Althea (Allen) Abell in Morganfield, Kentucky.
Fannie is survived by her loving spouse of 53 years, Stephen G McSpadden, who she met while attending Decatur Central High School and was her high school sweetheart. They had three children together who also survive. They are her son David McSpadden (Erin), & daughters Sheila Scoville (Nich), & Charlotte Toombs (Keith). She was the beloved Granny Fannie to 10 Grandchildren including Marina Foley (Matt), Jon Logan McSpadden, Makenzy McSpadden, Emma Scoville, Shelby Scoville, John Scoville, Jaxon McSpadden, Jacob Whitaker, Sarah Beth Scoville, & Ethan Toombs. And 2 Great-grandchildren Gideon Foley and Esther Foley. The youngest of 15 children, and was the last left, she has many beloved nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law. Fannie never knew anyone that wasn’t a friend including special neighbors like Nancy Traylor, many Bingo buddies like Eva Hobbs and some of her children’s childhood playmates like Heather (Wood) Gerhardt, Corrinna (Rina Traylor) Miller, Mike Summitt, Kelli Cloud, TJ Ellis, and Sarah Mosley.
Fannie worked for some time at a Russell Stover warehouse and then at Land-o-Lakes soil lab for over 20 years. Fannie enjoyed playing Bingo and playing cards. Liverpool Run was her favorite card game played with several generations of her family down to her nieces Lisa, Jenny, Trina, Tina and LaDonna.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel, 2433 East Main Street, Greenwood, Indiana 46143.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm.
