Excell J Blanchard

Excell Blanchard was born January 11, 1932 in Prairie, Mississippi to Bennie and Willie Mae Blanchard. He passed on January 13, 2020 at the age of 88. He was one of eight siblings.
Excell is survived by his wife of 50 years, Frances; his children, Preston L. Blanchard, Patricia Blanchard, Bitina Blanchard, Michael Blanchard, Maurice Blanchard, Cherie D. (Terry) Smith, Excell J. Blanchard III, and Nikki (Steve) Jones; 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; his brother, Mack (Jamie) Blanchard; and many other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Excell “Jeno” Blanchard, Jr; and his other siblings.
Excell was an over-the-road truck driver for over 55 years. During that time, he owned and operated Excell Blanchard Trucking; and helped to mentor many other Truck Drivers. He loved this industry and was proud to be a part of it.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry W Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250; with visitation beginning at Noon.
