Evelyn Ruth (Faulstich) Chance, 102, of Cicero, Indiana, passed away on December 13, 2023, at Maple Park Village in Westfield. She was born on June 19, 1921, in Cicero, IN, to the late Leo Faulstich and Emma (Johnson) Faulstich. After her marriage to Donald Chance in July of 1939, she dedicated much of her life to raising her four children and watching her family grow.
Evelyn also had many joys in life including her love of growing flowers, hosting large family dinners and travel with her husband Donald. For most of her life, Evelyn attended Refuge Christian Church. Later she worshipped at Bethel Lutheran Church with her son Mike and family. However, her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family, who will all miss her very much.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Patty Chance of Avon, Indiana; Ronald (Jane) Chance of Cicero, Indiana; Donald (Marsha) Chance of Noblesville and Michael Chance of Noblesville. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Bill (Debbie) Cook, Greg (Dawn) Cook, Shari (Marvin) Benge, Jamie (Ben) Byers, Jennifer (Scot) Cole, Mathhew Hinshaw, Chad Chance, Brandon Chance, Bill (Jeanette) McCormick and Kelli (Darren) Rice. Evelyn was also blessed with 13 Great-grandchildren; John France, Megan Egle, Jonathan Benge, Olivia and Leah Byers, Madison Hampton and Morgan Cole; Jacob Hinshaw; Connor and Kirsten McCormick; Ashlyn Robbins; and Madelyn and Sophia Rice. Further blessing her life were 5 beautiful Great-great grandchildren Cannon, Emery, Jackson, Tyler and Bella.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Chance; one grandchild, William Chance; her daughter-in-law, Celia "Kip" Chance; her sisters Eleanor, Dorothy (Biddy) and Nyla; and her brothers William and Eugene.
A private family service will be held at a later date and time, with interment to take place at Oaklawn Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
