Sharon Hurst

March 28, 1947 — May 17, 2022

 

Sharon (Sherri)Wininger-Hurst, from Bedford Indiana, passed away peacefully at home, with family by her side, in Anderson Indiana  on Tuesday May 17, 2022.  She was 75 years old.  
 
Sherri was born March 28, 1947 to  William P. Wininger and Georgia L. (Georgie) Haas-Wininger.  She was preceded in death by her two brothers Del Wininger and Gene Wininger.
 
Sherri was a loving wife and mother and is survived by her husband of 55 years Douglas  L. Hurst and two sons, Robert Hurst and his wife Penny Hurst, and Michael Hurst.
 
Sherri graduated in 1965 from Broadripple High School in Indianapolis, IN.  Sherri and Douglas were married in July of 1966 in Suitland, Maryland while Doug (Lynn) served in the United States Air Force. 
 
Sherri had a successful 40 year career in the Hotel & Hospitality industry.  She loved spending time with family and friends.   She enjoyed learning about American & British History, reading, playing games and helping others.  She loved her boys and we love our Mom!
 
Sherri was a true caregiver with strong Christian values.  She was passionate about helping others in need.  After retiring she volunteered for several years at the Noblesville White River Christian Church Food Pantry.
 
A memorial and celebration of life for Sherri will be held on Saturday May 28, 2022 at White River Christian Church located at 1685 N 10th St, Noblesville, IN  46060.  
 
Visitation at 11:00a.m. will be followed by a brief service at 12:30p.m.  Lunch will be provided by our friends at White River Christian Church for those wishing to join us following the service.  Flowers are welcome as are contributions to her favorite organizations.
