Eugene William Puchle, 76, of Brownsburg, Indiana, passed away on March 7, 2022. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on September 2, 1945, to William and Florence Puchle.
In 1969, Gene married Karen (Kosta) Puchle, who survives. He is also survived by his three children, Amy (Puchle) Elson (Paul Belch), Jennifer (Puchle) Peed (the late Michael Peed), and Andrew Puchle (Rebecca Spivack). Gene loved his role as grandfather, and he is survived by his six grandchildren: Charles Belch (13), Lucas Peed (13), Audrey Belch (12), Patrick Belch (7), Hannah Puchle (6), and Nathan Puchle (3). He is also survived by two sisters-in-law: Janis (the late Vern Sampson) Sampson and Linda (Ron) Herman.
Gene was a member of the Indiana National Guard and served with the United States Navy as a nurse from 1970-1977. He then worked as a registered nurse at both the VA Roudebush Medical Center and Westview Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Gene was very caring and compassionate to everyone he knew, including his patients. He retired from nursing in 2013.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Gene’s life will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by the Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m.
