Eugene J. Lorince, 100, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021.

He was born on Monday, March 28, 1921, to the late Joseph J. and Christine E. (Yanoscak) Lorince in Detroit, Michigan. Eugene graduated Lexington High School after growing up in Detroit, Pennsylvania, and Lexington. After high school he studied distribution logistics. He served in supply logistic during WWII in India and China as part of US Army Air Corp. He was a Private First Class in the 8th Airdome Squadron, 14th Air Force until his discharge May 14, 1946.

Eugene married Deloris V. Hoffman on September 27, 1947 and had 3 children. He later married Elaine Krenzke Lyvere on November 13, 1982 and gained six stepchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Christine Lorince; son, David Lorince; second wife, Elaine Krenzke Lyvere; sons-in-law, Vernell Kosnick and James Powell.

He is survived by his first wife, Deloris V. Hoffman, daughters, Darlene Kosnick, Lory Powell; stepchildren, Greg Lyvere, Jeanette Wardin and her husband Thomas, Gary Lyvere and his wife Kathy, Daniel Lyvere, Darrell Lyvere and Kevin Lyvere and his wife Lucy.

Visitation will be Friday, July 16, 2021 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Smith Miner Funeral Home 2700 West Wackerly
Midland, MI 48640.

Funeral will begin at 11:00 am.

Burial to immediately follow.
