Eric Hogan, 85, of Indianapolis was called home to eternal rest on the evening of the 26th of May, 2020. He was born on the 28th of December, 1934 in Prospect, Tennessee to James D. Hogan and Lucille T. Williams (née Nelson).
Sergeant Hogan served his country in both the Marines and Army with gallantry and honor for over 20 years, including service in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He loved spending his time gardening and bird-watching, but above all being with family and friends. Eric never knew a stranger and he leaves behind a legacy of friendship and love.
He is survived by his soulmate and wife of 26 years, Sabine K. Hogan (née Schack); 4 children, Linda (Philip) Whitted; Michael (Tamala) Hogan; Erica Hogan; and Eric Hogan; 5 step-children, Denise Hammonds; Valerie (Richard) Bouchard; Corey (Nanda) Key; Jennifer (Roberto) Apolonio; and Jessica (Mauricio) Peñaloza; 14 grandchildren, Shemika; Dominique; Ciara; Philip; Rita; Tierney; Taylor; Michael; Eric; Marcus; Victoria; Olivia; Mauricio; and Sophia; and host of great-grandchildren, cousins, and a world of friends.
He is preceded in death by his loving mother Lucille; father James; step-father Landy Williams; cousins Erwin Berlin “Brother” Nelson and Mason Lorenzo Hogan.; and one step-son Tony Key
