Brother Eric Audwin Harrison was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on September 18th, 1959. He was the first born child of Glover B. & Crezette Harrison.
Eric attended elementary school at School 53 and he also attended Arlington High School. He enlisted in the United State Marine Corps, at the age of 17
and continued his education to graduation.
He served in the military for 4 years and during this time he was awarded a medal for being the best sharp shooter in his class. After completing his enlistment, he received a honorable discharge from the military as a Lance Corporal.
Eric then began his civilian life in North Carolina and later returned to Indianapolis, In, where he worked for the Quemeto Foundry and the CSX Railroad, in Danville, Indiana. He later returned to North Carolina, and was reunited with his son Eric Jr. He worked as a shift manager, for various food chains.
He returned to Indianapolis, in January 2018. Eric found his First Love again, our Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ! He recommitted his life to the Lord and made his calling and election sure! During that last 20 months of his life, his health began to decline due to his illness, but he kept his faith in God and continued to attend church and traveling from state to state visiting family members one last time. Eric was at peace with God and when asked by the Hospice staff what is your next destination, Eric replied HEAVEN! And for this we give God Praise, because Eric was ready to go and be at rest.
Eric departed this life on Friday, November 29, 2019. He was preceded in death by his father, Glover. He leaves to cherish his memory: His mother Crezette, His children, Eric Jr (Veronica) Harrison, Jeremy. His sister and brothers, Theresa Coleman-Burrel, Toronto (Carol) Harrison, Michael Harrison. His grandchildren. Shy-Kym Eric, Eriyana, Ladarious, Kha-Mari and Omari Harrison. His Nieces. Kenyatta (Brandon) Kendricks, Andria Coleman, Angela (Trey) Moore, Ashley Harrison, Tiffany (Shola Baba) Mustapha, Andrew Ward and Jesenia (Carson) Haggard. A host of other family, church family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday, December 7th at New Day Pentecostal Church, 1058 N. Miley Ave, Indianapolis. Friend may call from 11 a.m. until service time. Eric will be laid to rest at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, IN on Monday, December 9.
