Elizabeth Ann Leslie, 66, of Muncie, Indiana passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024.
She was born on Sunday, June 2, 1957, in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late Thomas Barrett and Elizabeth (Froude) Bian.
After graduating from Hunterdon Central High School in Flemington, NJ, Elizabeth (“Liz”) spent many years living and working in Milwaukee (and Madison) Wisconsin. Eventually, she took a job in the Grand Canyon, where she met and married her first and only husband, Kyle Leslie. They moved to Indianapolis (where she would spend the majority of her life), having one child together. After spending some years as a homemaker, she returned to school and received an associate degree in paralegal studies from Kaplan University. Liz spent her career as a paralegal at the law firm Bleecker, Brodey & Andrews, and was a cherished member of their company.
Outside of work, she enjoyed cooking and baking, gardening, and taking walks in nature. She was also an avid reader. Travel was important to Liz, and she had been all over North America, and visited Europe several times. For many consecutive years, she would make custom Christmas cards by hand, just to send to family and friends. She was baptized and raised as a Catholic, but later reinvigorated her faith in the Protestant tradition, contributing many hours of service as a member of Southport Christian Church. Music was very important, and a source of joy. Liz possessed a remarkable combination of both conscientiousness and openness.
She leaves behind her two sisters, Nancy & Janet, her son Devin (Jadelynn), and two grandchildren, Ezra, and Naomi.
Memorial visitation is Thursday, February 29, 2024, 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.
