Edye Simpson

Edythe "Edye" Simpson, 54, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on August 10, 2023, at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was born on July 11, 1969 to Quinton Polston and Wilma Hopper. She was raised by her step-father and mother, Charles and Wilma (Hopper) Allen. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Wilma; son, John Walker Evans (John Ryan); brother, Donald Polston; nephew, Christopher Polston; and her dogs Pickles and Mac.

Edye is survived by her nephews, Charles Polston, Caleb Polston, Colt Polston; nieces, Cayla Polston, Crystal Polston, Cora Polston; and grandchildren, Natalie Ann McGaha and Israel Evans. 

Edye was a bartender at Mucky Duck Pub and other restaurants for many years and was well loved. She organized many raffles and charity events over the years even giving all her tips for the cause. She would give the shirt off her back for friends, co-workers or anyone who needed anything. Edye's faith was strong and knew that God was working through her to help others. Edye was an avid Harley Davidson rider and had her own bike She rode it almost everywhere and if not on her Harley then in her Jeep. 
Edye was a quick witted woman and could light up a room with humor and smile. She truly had a love for life and will be missed by so many.
