Drew was born Jennifer Anne Sawyers on October 15, 2002, to Bryan and Katina and passed away on January 21, 2022.
Drew was a senior at Franklin Central High School and was expected to graduate at the end of this year.
Drew was strong-willed, spunky, sweet, funny, and so very smart. Drew loved all things science: space, biology, geology, and botany. Drew loved every animal and would have adopted every single lost creature. Drew also had a love for creating. Drew was always knitting, crocheting, sculpting, and making stuffed animals.
When Drew was young, they never met a stranger. Drew was a social butterfly, and they knew that everyone was a potential new friend. In middle school, Drew started to experience anxiety and depression. Drew had feelings of being somewhat different and questioned their identity. Drew overcame and found what is truly important, their family and friends. Over the past 6 years, Drew became more and more comfortable with their uniqueness and found their joy and love of life again. Drew’s joy and love spread and formed a brilliant light for our family.
We’re thankful for all the supportive and loving people in Drew’s life. Drew loved you all so dearly. We’re so blessed to have so many happy memories with Drew and thankful that we had time to slowly say goodbye. We know Drew is in heaven and learning about all the secrets of the universe. We know Drew is truly happy, free, and playing with animals amongst the fields of flowers. God has a new joy in heaven.
Drew is survived by their parents, Bryan and Katina Sawyers; brother, Samuel Sawyers; grandparents, Kim Harrison, Gary, and Peggy Sawyers, and Brenda and Dann Berry.
Drew is preceded in death by their grandfather, Rick Potters; and great grandparents, Serena Lee, Doris Bourquein, Louise Moore, Otis Smith, Jesse Sawyers, and Paul Poole.
We'll see you again soon baby. Our names will be called by our heavenly father, and we’ll join you there, anxious to learn everything you have explored. We love you more than you'll ever know.
Until then, goodnight love.
