Douglas Jacob Weaver, 59, died quietly in his sleep at his Indianapolis, IN, home on Monday night, Feb 12, 2024. He was born on September 18, 1964, in Pittsbugh, PA to Nancy Deaves Burch and Joseph Marvin Weaver. He graduated IU with a BS in Computer Science in 1986. He worked for PDMA/EXL through its several changes in ownership almost his entire career, then for Cigna in the last four years.
He was a big independent brew enthusiast, and even tried his hand at home brewing. He could be counted on to show up at any beer-related event. He loved to travel. His most recent trip in October was to Greece with his best bud, Ed Groleau. He was an avid table-top gamer, whose biweekly sessions will be sorely missed.
He remained unmarried and had no children; his days were free and easy. He is survived by brothers Tom and Don (Jodie), niece Elyana and nephew Andrew, and by his cousins Woody (Kristen; Will, Audrey) and Robin (Ed Kusnierz), and Emmy Kusnierz.
A memorial event will be held Saturday, February 24th, 12:00 noon (visitation) and 1:00 PM (service) at Indiana Funeral Care, 2433 E Main St, Greenwood, IN 46143. His ashes will be interred at West Memorial Park in Weaverville. Cards may be sent to Don Weaver at 18773 Gillman Dr, Sonoma, CA, 95476. Memorial donations should be sent to the Nancy Burch Weaver Scholarship, Cottey College, 1000 W. Austin, Nevada, MO 64772.
