Douglas Allen Davis

August 21, 1943 — July 14, 2024

Douglas Allen Davis, a beloved husband, son, stepfather, and grandfather, passed away on July 14th, 2024 in his home town of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on August 21st, 1943 to Mary Davis and William Hardly.

Dough will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Cassandra Davis; step-daughters, Bridgette and Loreal; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Olivia, Octavia, Brianna, Brooklynn, and O’mari.

Dough had an infectious personality that drew people in wherever he went. His love for striking up conversations with anyone who would listen made him a joy to be around. He had the remarkability to make everyone feel heard and valued. Dough’s worm smile and kind heart left a lasting impression on all those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

One of Doug’s greatest joys was spending time with family. Weather it was watching TV together – especially westerns – or engaging in lively games or learning new things from each other – he treasured every moment spent with loved ones.

His passion for knowledge knew no bounds—he was a walking encyclopedia of random facts that never failed to amaze those around him. Doug's thirst for learning inspired others to seek out new experiences and broaden their horizons.

In his final years, Doug received exceptional care at Bethany Village Assisted Living Facility—a place where he found comfort and support during challenging times. The family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by the staff at Bethany Village.

The loss of Douglas Allen Davis has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched with his warmth and wisdom.

Rest peacefully now dear Douglas—you will forever remain alive within our hearts.
