Dorothy Marie Manis

Dorothy Marie (Carrico) Manis, 81, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 18th, 2021. She was born at home in Springfield, Kentucky on November 20,1939 to the late Charles and Lucy Irene (Spalding) Carrico.

She was known as Dotti or Granny and was known for her spunky attitude. She was loved by so many people; if you knew her, you loved her. She was as small in stature as she was big at heart.

Dotti is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Charles Manis, her son Garold Whitley and wife Debbie, her daughter Dawn Hittel and husband Frank, daughter-in-law Deanna Whitley, her brothers John and Victor Carrico, sister MaryAnn Harris, 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Lucy Irene Carrico, son Kenneth Whitley, Jr, sisters Mary Lou St. John, Martha Sue Flick, Bonnie Hazel, and brother Wilbur Carrico.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 24, 2021 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.

Prayer service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial to immediately follow at Round Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.
