Dorothea A. Collier, 88 of Greenwood, passed away on Friday, October 1st, 2021. She was born on Sunday, June 11th, 1933 to George and Angelina Kramer in Greensburg, Indiana.
Dorothea was an artist and loved to paint. She was also a great cook. She enjoyed the company of her family and friends. At the age of 87, she taught all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren how to make lasagna. She loved her church, Our Lady of the Greenwood. She also enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her children; Debbie (John) Sutherland, David Collier, Cathy (Randy) Walker, Mark (Maryann) Collier, and Greg (Rhonda) Collier. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” P. Collier. They were married on Wednesday, May 28th, 1952 and they shared fifty-five years together until he died in 2007. She is also preceded by her parents; George and Angelina Kramer, her son; John Perry, her granddaughter; Veronica Collier, and her daughter-in-law; Cherie Collier.
Friends and family are invited to her viewing at 10am on Thursday, October 7th at Our Lady of the Greenwood. A funeral mass will be held at 11am, followed by entombment at 12:30pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
