Donna Lee Van Dyke Scott passed away in Brownsburg, Indiana on December 21, 2020 in Brownsburg, Indiana at the age of 83.
Donna is survived by her children, Dawn Truax (Victor), Gary (Carrie), Keith (Amie), and two foster children, Julia and Richie. She has eleven (11) grandchildren and five (5) great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Marc and her beloved husband, Gilbert.
Donna was born on January 5, 1937 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Clyde and Dorothy (Marcell) Van Dyke. She married Gilbert Scott on February 21, 1962 after meeting at RCA, where they both worked. Their mutual love for swing and ballroom dancing brought them together. Donna primarily stayed at home with her children, but later worked for L.S. Ayres, the sporting goods section at Kmart and briefly owned The Flower Shop in Clermont.
In her spare time, she enjoyed painting and accompanying Gilbert to the American Legion.
A funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, December 30, 11:30 AM at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
