Donald Paul Stretshberry Jr. Aka "Donnie" a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, cousin, and friend, passed away on April 8th, 2024, at the age of 37. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Born on January 17th, 1987, Donnie was survived by his mother, Melissa Lookebill; father, Donald Stretshberry Sr; grandparents, Ed and Charlotte Pardee, James and Madonna Lookebill; sisters, Megan Stretshberry-Bryant, Alexis Bovee-Harris, Shelby Stretshberry; brothers, Todd, Kyle, and Nathan Bovee; brothers-in-law, Jonathan Bryant and Christopher Harris; and many nieces and nephews. Donnie found immense joy in being a son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, cherishing every moment spent with them.
Donnie was a skilled journeyman carpenter, finding fulfillment in his work within both residential and commercial settings. However, his true passion lay in commercial carpentry, where he poured his heart and soul into his craft.
Outside of work, Donnie had a diverse range of interests. From his love of cooking for family and friends, to his passion for video games, which transitioned into a newfound love for reading and an obsession for constant self-improvement. He was on a mission and determined to be his best self in recent years. He found solace in the company of his loyal canine companion, Mikey, whom he also was survived by.
An avid enthusiast of action movies and a proud Harley rider, Donnie embraced life's adventures with open arms. He cherished music and concerts, especially when enjoyed with those closest to him. Donnie had a special fondness for being adventurous, and his Milwaukee power tools, which were an extension of his craftsmanship and creativity.
Donnie had a special bond with his mother, Melissa, cherishing the moments they shared together. Whether it was cooking meals together, adventures, or simply spending quality time in each other's company, their relationship was built on a foundation of love and mutual respect.
Donnie proudly displayed his love for Ninja Turtles from his shelves to the tattoos on his arms.
Donnie will be remembered for his infectious laughter, jokes, his unwavering loyalty, his immense heart, and his kind and generous spirit. He leaves behind a void that can never be filled but also a legacy of love that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
In honoring Donnie's memory, may we find comfort in the cherished moments shared and the love that will forever remain in our hearts.

There will be a visitation and funeral service on Monday, April 15th, 2024 at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel. The visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with the funeral service to follow at 7:00pm.
