Diane Hoppes, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in Fishers, Indiana, on November 16, 2024, at the age of 87, surrounded by her loving family. Born Barbara Diane Eytchison on October 9, 1937, Diane's life was a testament to her unwavering faith in God and her deep love for her family.

Diane is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Ronald W Hoppes, and their four children: Traci Harshman (Malcolm), Terri Meadows (Mike), Tricia Eyer (Bryan), and Ronnie Hoppes (Callie). She is also survived by her sisters Ellen Cooper and Cathy Thompson, 10 grandchildren: Andrew Meadows (Jacqueline), Alex Meadows, Adam Meadows (Nicole), Ernie Harshman (Sara), Oliver Harshman, Evan Eyer (Emily), Hannah Eyer, Addison Hoppes, Avery Hoppes, and Aubrey Hoppes; and 6 great-grandchildren: Scarlett, McKayla, Eisley, and Lila Meadows, and Brody and Blake Eyer. She was preceded in death by her sister Judy Fritts.

Diane graduated from Lawrence Central High School and went on to earn her nursing degree from Indiana University School of Nursing. Her dedication to caring for others was evident throughout her career and personal life.

Diane's legacy continues through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, each of whom she cherished deeply. She was a guiding light, offering wisdom, comfort, and unconditional love to all who knew her. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the love of God.

Diane, affectionately known as Magoo by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, loved her reading, her puzzles, her birds, and most of all, her Cubs!

Diane will be dearly missed by her family and friends, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her life was a beautiful reflection of her faith and the love she had for her family.

A celebration of life service will be held at Castleton United Methodist Church, 7101 N Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Visitation will be at 11:30 a.m., followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25th.
