Dennis "Joe" Woods

Dennis "Joe" Woods, age 65, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away at 11:40 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Verdien Eugene and Elinor Marie (Rice) Woods on January 9, 1955 in Princeton, Illinois.
Joe was a graduate of Wyanet High School, class of ‘73. He received his Bachelors of Art in History from Bethel University in Mishawaka, Indiana in 1977. Joe was united in marriage on June 10, 1978 to Sandra Adamek in Livonia, Michigan. This union was blessed with two children, Stephen and Stephanie. He worked as an auto insurance adjuster at Farmers Insurance for 24 years. Joe enjoyed traveling, golfing, and basketball. He was a member of the Gideons and the Nazarene Church.
Joe is survived by his wife, Sandra Woods of Greenwood, Indiana; his children, Stephen (Tiffany) Woods of Downers Grove, Illinois and Stephanie Woods of Indianapolis, Indiana; and his sisters, Karen (Tom) Mayse of McPherson, Kansas and Kathy (Larry) Allen of Princeton, Illinois. He is also survived by his nieces Melanie Ross, Missy Mayse, Julie Allen, Jennifer Teske, Kelli Lovec, and Annah Orban.
