Denna Fagan, 92, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2023, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born in Mexico, where she, her two brothers, and her sister were raised by their parents. Denna moved to the United States, eventually becoming a U.S citizen. Denna later met and then married her husband, Thomas Fagan. Together they spent 66 wonderful years by each other’s side, raising their family and watching their children and then grandchildren grow.
Denna worked for many years in banking, becoming a bank teller and staff trainer. Denna took pride in her work and later assisted at AARP tax filing services and enjoyed being able to help others every tax season. Along with her kindness, Denna will be remembered as a loving wife and mother, who loved classical music, Bible studies, planting and tending to her flowers such as her amaryllises and orchids, and who proudly earned her title as master bridge player. However, her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family, who will all miss her very much.
Denna is survived by her husband, Thomas Fagan; her children, Thomas Fagan, Peter Fagan, Mark (Lisa) Fagan, Patricia (Frank) Jones, and Leslie Fagan; six grandchildren, Rachel Fagan, Sarah Fagan, Marygrace Fagan, Laura Fagan, Andrew Jones, and Claire Jones; as well as numerous other beloved cousins and relatives in the U.S. and Mexico. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three siblings.
A Catholic Funeral Mass is scheduled for Tuesday, November 28, at 11 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist in Fishers, Indiana. It will be followed by a luncheon at the church and then departure for Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis for the committal service and interment.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in memory of Denna Fagan to the Alzheimer’s Association. Donations can be made online or mailed to: Alzheimer’s Association, 50 E. 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
