Deborah "debi" Ann McOwen

Deborah Ann Adkinson McOwen, 71, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away July 5, 2021, peacefully in her home surrounded by her husband David and daughter Christina. Debi was born February 25, 1950 in Lebanon, Indiana the daughter of Arnold L. and Ola P. (Chastain) Atkinson. On January 27, 2006 she married David J. McOwen. debi is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Sylvia Jean Carter and Sandrea Clark; grandson Austin Joseph; and granddaughter Kinsey Joseph.

Surviving are husband David McOwen; two daughters Christina A. (Daniel) Schwartz and Karen D. (Todd) Joseph; granddaughter Kelsea (James) Tomkins; great-grandchildren Whitney and Westyn Tomkins; brother Marion (Dee) Adkinson, niece Mischelle (David) Edwards; father in law Douglas McOwen; sister in law Dawn (Greg) Martin and many nieces and nephews.

debi graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Art degree in 1995. debi worked as an art and special education teacher sharing her love and extreme talent for art.

debi enjoyed spending time with friends and the American Legion Post 500, crafting, painting, quilting, and working on family genealogy history. debi loved spending time with family and friends, but most of all with her husband David.

debi was loved by many and will be missed by all.
