Deborah Burton 74 Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Wednesday evening May 15, 2024 at 9:21pm peacefully with her son, Danny, and her daughter-in-law, Debra, by her side. She was born June 20, 1950 to the late Morris Strong and Gladys (Peak) Strong.
Deborah married her first true love, Danny Roger Ratliff, on June 24th, 1966. They had one child together, Danny Ray Ratliff. She also had a daughter named Kimberly Storms-Torma.
She was a devout Catholic and a member of Little Flower Catholic Church. Deborah always worked in customer service as a cashier as she enjoyed meeting new people because she was always so friendly.
Deborah loved to be around water and enjoyed going to Lake Monroe with her son, daughter-in-law, and grandsons. She said the water was always so relaxing and she loved to sit out by the fire at night. Deborah also loved dogs of any kind!
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Gladys Strong; along with her only sister, Janet Thoman, who passed away of a brain aneurysm.
Deborah is survived by her son, Danny Ratliff; her daughter, Kimberly Storms-Torma; daughters-in-law, Debra Lynn Ratliff, Liz Ratliff, and Samantha Ratliff; her grandsons, Brandon Ratliff and Christopher Ratliff; her great granddaughter, Ava Ratliff; her great grandsons, twins Caleb and Kaden Ratliff, and Mason Ratliff; and her ex-husband, David Burton.
She will be missed by a whole host of family and friends.
There will be a visitation and funeral service on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024, at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel. The visitation is from 4:00pm to 6:00pm with the funeral service to follow at 6:00pm. Burial will take place at 11:00am on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 at Calvary Cemetery.
